GIZ Zambia, headquartered in Lusaka on Kariba Road, is a cornerstone of Germany’s development cooperation efforts in Zambia. With over 50 years of experience, GIZ focuses on three key areas: Water and Renewable Energy: Enhancing water supply, wastewater management, and promoting renewable energy sources, particularly in rural areas. Good Governance: Supporting public administration reforms, decentralization, and strengthening civil society participation. Agriculture and Food Security: Improving agricultural productivity, promoting climate-resilient practices, and enhancing nutrition, especially for mothers and children. Operating on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the European Union, GIZ collaborates closely with government institutions and local communities to implement impactful projects across the country.
